Ranking Member Bobby Scott joined President Obama for the signing of the Every Student Succeeds Act on December 10, 2015, which reauthorizes the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. This year marked the 50th anniversary of the original Elementary and Secondary Education Act and House Democrats fought to ensure that the Every Student Succeeds Act honors the civil rights legacy of the law.
