HUNTSVILLE — Lunch in Manhattan and home before bedtime? Starting June 7, that quick trip becomes even easier.

Delta Air Lines has announced it will offer twice-daily nonstop flights between Huntsville International Airport (HSV) and New York City’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), doubling travel options for Rocket City passengers.

The new schedule offers both morning and evening departures and returns, giving travelers added flexibility for business meetings, weekend getaways, or even same-day trips to the nation’s largest city.

The expanded service builds on Delta’s nonstop LaGuardia route launched in 2025 — the first direct air connection between Huntsville and New York City. For years, local leaders identified New York as one of Huntsville’s top unserved markets, making the original route a significant milestone for the region.

Airport officials say the additional flight strengthens Huntsville’s connectivity to major economic hubs, supporting the area’s growing business community and expanding tourism opportunities.

Delta currently offers nonstop service from Huntsville to Atlanta, Detroit, and New York City, with approximately 80 scheduled departures each week from HSV.

With the addition of a second daily LaGuardia flight, travelers will have more convenient access to Broadway shows, Wall Street meetings, iconic landmarks, and world-class dining — all without a layover.

For North Alabama residents and business leaders alike, the expanded service reflects Huntsville’s continued growth and rising demand for direct connections to key national markets.

Come June, swapping Southern comfort food for New York pizza — even just for the day — will be easier than ever.
