ENTERPRISE, Ala. — A tragic domestic incident has left the Enterprise community shaken after a 90-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder in the death of his wife, authorities confirmed Monday.
According to Enterprise police, officers were dispatched just before noon to a reported shooting in the 100 block of County Road 724. Upon arrival, officers discovered 85-year-old Charlotte Wolf deceased at the scene.
Her husband, Otto Wolf, was taken into custody and charged with murder, police officials said. The Coffee County Coroner confirmed that the victim and the suspect were married.
Otto Wolf is currently being held in the Coffee County Jail. Law enforcement officials have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
