SPEAKIN’ OUT NEWS

Genises Nova Reid, 2, of Enterprise, has not been seen in several weeks, according to police, as authorities intensify the search for the missing toddler.

The search for a missing Enterprise toddler has taken a troubling turn as police confirm the child’s mother is being detained for questioning.

Genises Nova Reid — also spelled Genesis by authorities — was reported missing around 3 a.m. Monday. Her mother told police the door to their residence was open when she realized the child was gone.

But as detectives continued investigating, they say they uncovered alarming information.

According to Enterprise police, interviews revealed the toddler may not have been seen in several weeks — raising serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

No charges have been announced at this time.

Authorities are also seeking information about a woman identified only as “Moriah,” described as a Black female who frequented Levels Bar and Grille on Daleville Avenue in Enterprise and areas in Ozark. Police have not disclosed her connection to the case but are urging her — or anyone who knows her — to come forward.

Genises is described as a Black female with brown eyes and black hair. She stands 2 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 30 pounds. She was last known to be wearing pink Minnie Mouse pajamas.

Multiple agencies are assisting in the investigation.

“If you have any information — even something you think is small — it could be a huge part of this puzzle,” said Enterprise Police Chief Michael Moore.

Anyone with information is urged to call Enterprise police at 334-347-2222 or dial 911.

The search remains ongoing.
