TikTok personality Amy Dianne Elmore Downs, 57, of Athens, also known as Slot_7.0 or Slot machine queen, was arrested Wednesday for seven counts of Charitable Fraud 1st Degree and three counts of Tax Evasion, according to a release from the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers launched an investigation in October after receiving reports of charity fraud.
“The investigation revealed that between 2021 and 2024, [Downs] solicited donations for a purported charity to aid domestic violence victims and homeless individuals,” the release reads.
“During the investigation, it was revealed that no legitimate charity existed under Downs’ name. Further research uncovered that no charity had been registered with the Alabama Attorney General’s Office, and Downs had not reported any employment since 2020.”
“Since 2021, Downs has deposited nearly one million dollars into her personal bank accounts under the guise of charitable donations.”
