In this one-hour special, Rick Steves traces fascism’s history in Europe. Our goal: to learn from the hard lessons of the 20th century, and to recognize that ideology in the 21st century. (PBS)

We’ve all heard the saying “there is nothing new under the Sun.” We’ve witnessed how fashion trends come and go. Then they re-emerge decades later as something new to individuals who had not seen them before. Some things have been tweaked so that it can appeal to new eyes,Fascism in Europe.” It showcased the rise of Hitler, Mussolini and Franco. How Hitler used the media of radio, which was new and just coming into the lives of people, repeating the same lies over and over to those who were in fear of losing what they had in jobs and lifestyles. This was a time of inflation, job loss and economic uncertainty. He spoke to the poor and working class people making promises while blaming and condemning Jewish and Polish people. Does this sound familiar? It should. Open your eyes and you will see what the former President and the Radical GOP is doing,

Remember, the former President admired Dictators like Hitler and Putin. This is the playbook that he and his allies are using. Hitler only had radio. The media outlets that are being used today are massive. With the help of “Dark Money” it’s working. Also, what was interesting about this documentary was the bombing and destruction to a town in Germany by Hitler called “Guernica.” Putin used the same reason for attacking Ukraine.

“The Story of Fascism in Europe” ended by saying, “democracy is fragile” and encouraged looking to his- tory to prevent making the same mistakes.

Wake up everybody! Will this be another part of American History that can’t be mentioned? Yes it will if you do not vote in the Mid-Term Elections. The Radial GOP is counting on you not to!
