An assistant principal at a Birmingham high school has been arrested on shooting and domestic violence charges.
Hueytown police on Friday said Fallin Lakeil Ladd, 40, is charged with shooting into an unoccupied vehicle and third-degree domestic violence.
Ladd is an assistant principal at Jackson-Olin High School.
According to Hueytown police, officers responded at 5:30 p.m. on June 18 to the 100 block of Fairy Avenue on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they determined that a domestic violence situation had taken place and that a female fired shots at an unoccupied vehicle.
On June 20, they obtained warrants against Ladd. She was booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 4:30 p.m. June 20, and released at 11:09 p.m. after posting $13,000 bond.
School officials confirmed Ladd’s employment but declined further comment.
According to Jackson-Olin’s website, Ladd is an instructional leader on the administration team.
