“It’s dope as f— getting older and everyone should embrace that s—,” Kevin Hart said during his June 30 performance at a Newark arena, according to mosaic.nj.com. “It’s a privilege to age and make it. You have to fall in love with your age.”
Hart is now 45 years old, so it’s fitting the comedian’s current “Acting My Age Tour” material focuses on his life at middle-age.
On April 11, Hart’s tour comes to Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville. Tickets cost $59.95 to $199.95 plus applicable fees and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday via axs.com. Showtime is listed as 8:15 p.m.
Hart previously performed in Huntsville in 2022 at the Von Braun Center. In 2020, he gave Decatur resident Ethan LyBrand a special “Magic Bumblebee Wheelchair,” named for the child’s favorite character in the “Transformers” action film franchise. LyBrand, a Muscular Dystrophy Association national ambassador, and that wheelchair were later featured in a Verizon ad during the Academy Awards in 2021.
In addition to being a comedy superstar, the Philadelphia native is one of the biggest actors in the world. His box-office hits include the “Jumanji” franchise, “Central Intelligence” and “Get Hard.” He’s also hosted “Saturday Night Live” multiple times. More than 178 million people follow Hart on Instagram.
In 2024, Hart was honored with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, an award whose previous recipients include the likes of David Letterman, Tina Fey and Eddie Murphy.
