Slim Chickens, the restaurant chain famous for its chicken wings, chicken fingers, and more than 17 dipping sauces, is planning more locations in Alabama and Georgia.

Slim Chickens recently partnered with the multi-unit hospitality group Slims Southern Boys to open at least four franchises, according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. Slim Southern Boys owns a number of franchises including two Culver’s, 15 Firehouse Subs, and multiple convenience stores across the United States.

SlimChicken’s website lists Albertville, Decatur and Montgomery as locations that are “coming soon.” It already has restaurants in Athens, Cullman, Florence, Huntsville, Madison, Muscle Shoals and Tuscaloosa.

In 2021, Slim Chickens announced plans for multiple locations across Alabama.

The franchise, founded in Fayetteville, Arkansas, now has more than 265 locations in 29 states and the United Kingdom.
