In a heartwarming display of community spirit, members of the As The Crows Fly, a local equestrian organization did their part in making a difference this holiday season with its second annual “Crow Day” which was a day of family and community hosted at Circle K Park in south Phoenix.

As the festive season approaches, these horse enthusiasts proved that their love for horses is equaled only by their compassion for the community. With a generous donation from Black Rodeo USA, The Crows were able to host a toy drive during their event where no child left empty handed.
As The Crows Fly, also known as The Flying Crows or simply The Crows, rallied its members and the broader community to contribute to this noble cause. Riding on the belief that every child deserves a memorable holiday, they set up donation boxes at their headquarters at The Knight Ranch where community members were able to drop off toys or give financial donations which helped make the event a huge success.

One event organizer expressed his gratitude for how the community showed up to help make this all possible, “One of the most important things for us as Crows is to make sure that we’re always involved in the community so for the community to show up for us the way they did was a blessing because the more they’re involved with us it only helps our organization grow to a point where we can give back even more.”

The Flying Crows will now turn their attention to starting 2024 off with their As The Crows Fly Youth Academy: Horsemanship Clinic, which is a hands-on course for youth age 3 and up to learn skills involving horses such as riding, grooming, horse handling and much more. The first clinic will begin Saturday Jan. 27, 2024, and will run throughout the year.
