A 50-year-old woman was killed and four people were injured, including a 4-year-old child and an 11-month-old child, after her car slammed into a bridge and then a truck Wednesday afternoon in north Alabama, authorities said Thursday.

Kimberly H. Williams, 50, of Tuscumbia, was driving a 2018 Toyota Camry on Alabama Highway 184 near the 14-mile marker in Lawrence County around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday when the car struck a bridge and then a 2012 Ford F-150, said Cpl. Reginal King with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Williams, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the F-150 and a 23-year-old passenger in the truck were injured and taken to Huntsville Hospital, King said.

Two other passengers in the F-150, a 4-year-old and an 11-month old, were also hurt and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred about four miles north of Town Creek.

Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate the incident.
