President Joe Biden’s order to forgive $10,000 or $20,000 in student loan debt is a godsend for many Americans. So why is the GOP so mad about it?
Perhaps a good portion of the ‘white tears’ outrage comes from jealousy of not being given another tax break. Because Republicans actually love welfare ― as long as it favors them.
Biden’s plan isn’t perfect. It’s a big deal for those struggling with massive loan debt right now, but it doesn’t attempt to fix the real problem: the outrageous cost of a college education. Maybe the lawmakers crying the loudest should get to work on that problem.
