Thirty-four students completed the National Defense Education Program (NDEP) this week at Alabama A&M. The NDEP, delivers professional development and STEM career preparation to participants through a series of lectures and training focused on developing a talent pipeline for Department of Defense (DoD) opportunities.

Participants in the 6-week program were also invited to take part in paid

internships in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, 5G, biotechnology, autonomy, cryptography, directed energy, microelectronics, quantum science/computing and other areas.
