Pastor “J” Edgar Boyd, Senior Minister, First AME Church of LA (center), was joined by faith and community leaders at a Tuesday press conference to reignite the call for disgraced LA City Councilmembers Gil Cedillo and Kevin de Leon to resign immediately, in order for the City to begin the healing process.  Speakers included:  Latricia Mitchell, President, LA NAACP;Rev. William Smart, President, LA, Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Pastors Manuel & Pierre Tigerino, Centro Christiano Church.  Pastor Boyd said, “Karen Bass has been elected as our new Mayor and we are excited about her vision for the City. There is, however, much work to be done in healing from an obvious and egregious ethnical divide, which was created by three members of the City Council and the leader of the County Federation of Labor. They must resign.”      (Photo by Michael Riddick)
