Reggie McKenzie is running for Huntsville City Council District 1 to move the district forward. Reggie entered the race after numerous discussions of deep concern residents have about the two other candidates.

Issues include one candidate telling untruths, stealing and pleading guilty to theft, being banned from Walmart, and currently being on probation until August 2025. The other candidate has demonstrated aggressive conduct and has had limited effectiveness in her current position on the school board as it relates to failing Schools in District 1.

Reggie served the Huntsville Community and District 1 for over 43 years. He is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel – serving for 28 years, is the President of the North Huntsville Business Association focusing on economic development, and is the Executive Director of Harris Home For Children, having worked with foster kids for over 30 years.

Reggie is committed to District 1 and has expertise in working with leaders to turn ideas and plans into realities.

“Conduct and effectiveness go hand in hand,” said McKenzie. “We’ve seen dazzling plans over the past few months and I trust the voters will recognize what they are seeing now is only for the election. The current councilman has had only partial success and is overshadowed by a cloud of deception.  District 1 residents should not settle for less but the best.”

Visit Reggie’s website at VoteMcKenzie.net for more information. Voters can be confident that he will work to get what District 1 needs and deserves and he won’t let District 1 down.
