Redeeming Love Outreach Ministries Celebrated its 29th Annual Pastoral Appreciation on December 11, 2022, honoring Pastor Evangelist Emma. White. The church is located at 1528 Sherman Street, S.E. in Decatur, Alabama. The theme was” Feeding His Sheep in Light of His Coming.”

Minister Aaron Horton announced the call to worship, and Minister Deborah Horton led the Confessions of Faith. Minister Kimberly King gave the Welcome and Occasion. Afterward, Ricky Miller and The Shift led the Praise and Worship. Minister Priscilla Reeves gave an effectual, fervent prayer to the Glory of God.

The First Family Parade of Honor recounted the myriad accomplishments of the anointed and talented family. Pastor White’s daughters, Jemeana S. Roberson, Knegleshia S. Cobb, Terra S. Carter, and Canderiah Smothers, were honored for supporting their mother in the church. . Then they received bouquets of lavender roses and boutonnieres.

Pastor Darius Crayton of the Bridge Builders Church International, Decatur, AL, engaged the church regarding “A Time of Favor”! He advised that one attracts favor with honor, integrity, competence, relationships, prayer, and the Law of Impartation, which is time spent in the Holy Ghost. Having the character of honor and humility is critical.

The RLOM Members came bearing gifts of 29 red roses to Pastor White in honor of her 29 years of dedicated, loving service to the RLOM

Church Family.

Dr. Eugene Edwards rendered a very touching rendition of It’s your Season”. Pastor Emma White thanked everyone for all their love and support.

The 2022 Pastoral Appreciation Team Consisted of the following: Minsters Faye Freeman, Kimberly King, Kristopher James, Boniechia James, Rosemary Sherrod, Sisters, Tamiko James, Marilyn Perkins, Priscilla Reeves, Cathy Larry, and Elder Marcella Mathis, Program Chair. Antwan Ayers of Lafayes Event Planning provided remarkable design and decorating skills.

Pastor Emma White, affectionately known as “Ma Emma,” was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. She was the seventh born of eight children and grew up in a nurturing home with devoted Christian parents.

Pastor White has graced many great stages with her gifts and talents, including being crowned Miss Jackson State University, the first Miss Black Mississippi, and performing in numerous Broadway Plays and television mediums.

After overcoming incredible challenges in her personal life through prayer, faith in God, and sheer determination, including raising four children as a single parent, Pastor White met and married the late Bishop Paul James White. Pastor White and her husband founded Redeeming Love Outreach Ministries with just eight members.

For eight years, Pastor Emma White worked side by side with her husband to build the ministry and, more importantly, to bring the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. As the church approached its ninth year, full-fledged Pastorship was passed on to Evangelist Emma White.

Pastor Emma White received a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a Liberal Arts degree in Theatre from Jackson State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She later received her Master’s Degree in Multiple Learning Handicaps from Alabama A & M University. She has worked for the Morgan County Board of Education for over thirty-nine years and received numerous awards and recognitions, including “Teacher of the Year” and “Most Outstanding Young Educator of Alabama.” Presently, Pastor White serves as Vice Moderator for the ‘No Wall.’ Ministerial Alliance of Decatur.

She is the proud mother of four daughters – Jemeana (Demond) Roberson, Knegleshia (Corey) Cobb, Terra (Juni) Smothers, and Canderiah Smothers and is the grandmother of nine.
