Over 200 students from the University of Maryland, Bowie State University, Morgan State University and Coppin State University; ROTC cadets and veterans from The Mission Continues, a veterans’ services organization, will participate in “The Day of Service” which will be held in remembrance of 2nd Lieutenant Richard Collins III and recognition of his 31st birthday on December 11.

The Day of Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Strength to Love II Farm located at 1855 Kavanaugh Street in Baltimore.

Dawn and Rick Collins, the parents of the late Lt. Collins, Dr. Matasha Harris from the Social Justice Alliance, and others will be in attendance.

Tomorrow’s Day of Service was organized by the 2nd Lieutenant Richard W. Collins III Foundation and the Social Justice Alliance, a collaboration between Bowie State and the University of Maryland created to honor the legacy of BSU alumnus Lt. Collins and promote social justice on their respective campuses.
