The Orange Beach City Council voted to spend nearly $300,000 to settle two lawsuits alleging discrimination, harassment and retaliation based on a sex, sexual orientation and disability.

Both lawsuits were filed by former employees of the city — one by Laura Davis, a former city athletics director who resigned in 2021, and the other by Chase Morrisette, Deann Milly and Lacy Ignacio McFadden, who were each terminated in 2021.
