On Monday, November 20, 2023, the Village of Promise successfully orchestrated its annual city-wide Thanksgiving meal, known as “One Table Huntsville,” in downtown Huntsville. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., residents from all walks of life in Huntsville and Madison County gathered for a free and communal dining experience.

The primary objective of the event was to unite individuals from diverse backgrounds, encouraging them to share a meal and connect with one another.

Dana Gillis, the CEO of the Village of Promise, played a pivotal role in organizing the event, collaborating with local companies, groups, ministries, and dedicated volunteers to make it a reality.

Fortunately, the day graced the community with excellent weather, enhancing the overall experience. One notable contribution came from Target, which generously provided 500 boxes filled with goodies, adding a delightful touch to the occasion.

For those seeking further information about the Village of Promise and its initiatives, additional details can be found on their website at www.villageofpromise.org.
