Actor Omari Hardwick

Actor Omari Hardwick will serve as the 2024 Ambassador for the Magic City Classic.

Hardwick is best known for his portrayal as James “Ghost” St. Patrick on the Starz hit television series “Power.” He’s also appeared in movies like Zack Snyder’s ”Army of the Dead,” Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls,” and the BET series “Being Mary Jane.”

The actor is also known for giving back to the community. Earlier this year, Hardwick attended the historic Rickwood Field Negro League celebration event and has vocalized support for the preservation of Rickwood Field.

On gameday (Oct. 26) Hardwick will be a part of the Magic City Classic Parade, celebrate the traditions of one of the oldest HBCU classics in the country.

Other notable ambassadors at the Magic City Classic have included Rickey Smiley, Ruben Studdard, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, and Wendy Williams.

Every year, the Magic City Classic brings Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University battle it out at Legion Field for a potential spot at the SWAC Championship. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26.
