Office of Disability Services to Host Mental Health Awareness Fair

The AAMU Office of Disability Services along with the Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will host a Mental Health Awareness Fair on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  in the Student Health & Wellness Center.

Dr. Tonya Davis, Chair of the AAMU Psychology & Counseling Department and Master of Social Work Field Coordinator Willie Diggs II will discuss navigating Mental Health Challenges for Teens and Young Adults. Ashley Garner, Director of Social Services at Unity Psychiatric Care will discuss geriatric anxiety and other mental health issues that impact seniors.

There will also be yoga sessions with Yvonne Holley, yoga instructor at the Student Health & Wellness Center. Mental Health professionals will also be on site sharing information and services available.
