The Lauderdale County Drug Task Force says a search of a home on Monday uncovered a large stash of methamphetamine and pills.

According to the authorities, a search warrant was executed at a residence on High Street in Florence.

Inside, agents found about six pounds of meth and more than a pound of fentanyl pills, or roughly 4,200.

As a result, an arrest warrant is being sought on meth trafficking, drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

Florence police and the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the case.

According to authorities, over the past two months the drug task force has seized more than 11,200 fentanyl pills.
