The man charged in the murder of a 5-year-old Georgia girl whose body was found in an abandoned east Alabama home recorded himself raping her after he had killed her, according to newly released court documents.
Jeremy Tremain Williams, 37, is charged with capital murder in the course of a kidnapping, capital murder in the course of rape, capital murder in the course of sodomy, corpse abuse and producing child pornography. The indictments against Williams were issued Feb. 18 and made public Monday.
He is charged in the slaying of Kamarie Holland.
The girl’s mother, 35-year-old Kristy Marie Siple, also known as Kristy Hoskins, has also been indicted on felony murder and human trafficking.
The ordeal began Monday, Dec. 13, when Kamarie’s mother called 911 to report her daughter missing. Siple told authorities she went to sleep about midnight and awoke to find Kamarie gone and the front door open.
Columbus police launched an immediate investigation and quickly identified Williams as a potential suspect. Authorities previously said Siple and Williams knew each other.
Columbus police notified authorities that Williams could be in the Phenix City area.
Authorities located Williams and a relative at the Bamboo Motel on Opelika Road in Phenix City, the sheriff said. The hotel workers told authorities they had been there about 30 minutes prior to the arrival of investigators.
Additionally, Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor said, investigators learned of a previous Phenix City address for Williams. They went to the address which was a vacant house and that is when they found Kamarie’s body.
Investigators said Kamarie had been sexually abused. Charging documents against Williams said Kamarie died by asphyxiation from a ligature.
The corpse abuse indictment against Williams states Williams “recorded himself raping and sodomizing” Kamarie after her death.
“She did agree with another person to pay her for having sexual intercourse and sodomy with her minor daughter,’’ the document states.
Documents do not state a specific amount of money.
In a tearful interview with WTVM before charges were filed against her, Siple said, “I’m a mommy and I did not have nothing to do with this. She was my life and I lived for her daily. She was my only daughter.”
Siple told the television station that Kamarie’s father, Corey Holland, had custody of the girl and that Kamarie was visiting her when she disappeared.
Williams, according to the sheriff, was charged with child abuse in Phenix City in 2009 and acquitted by a jury in 2012.
He was charged with abuse of a child in Columbus, Taylor said, but the disposition of that case wasn’t immediately known.
Additionally, Taylor previously said, authorities had information that Williams was the suspect in the death of a 1-year-old in Alaska, but he was never charged with that crime because of a lack of evidence.
Authorities in Alaska have now reopened the case into the 2005 blunt force trauma death of Williams’ one-month-old daughter, Naudia Treniece Williams.
Williams and Siple are set to be arraigned on the indictments on April 5.
