Can’t wait for the largest Starbucks in Alabama to open in Huntsville?

You have another enormous option – opening as early as next summer.

MidCity this week announced a 2,500-square-foot Starbucks going up at the corner of MidCity Place and Commerce Street, directly across the corner from Trader Joe’s.

According to a Facebook post, the location will have a drive-thru.

Huntsville’s fans of caffeination already are salivated about one enormous Starbucks, projected for the Rocket City.

Last month, the largest Starbucks location in Alabama was announced for the $40 million Autograph Collection by Marriott, which will be built at the southwest corner of the reconstructed parking garage on Monroe Street across from the Von Braun Center’s Propst Arena.

It is expected to open by late next year or early 2024.

That location, projected at 2,800 square feet, will eclipse the Starbucks at the University of Alabama’s Ferguson Center. At one time, the Ferguson Center Starbucks was the largest in the U.S., though a massive location is now open in Chicago, with more than 35,000 square feet.
