Good friends Gerald Holloway and Jonathan Reeves, both graduates of Alabama A&M University, continue to encourage high students in Alabama to look for good things in the future and to further their education to achieve those goals. The students usually attends the A&M’s Senior High School Day later in the football season, but at times the weather is not conducive to get the full effect of the atmosphere of the day so it was decided to come to an earlier game. Four years ago there were only thirteen students. At Saturday’s game that number has grown to seventy with students from Green County High School, and Debutants from Tuscaloosa. Holloway and Reeves states that “if we reach one student out of the group it’s worth the effort…”

The students were greeted by Alabama A&M’s AD Dr. Paul Bryant, and received words of encouragements from graduates from different institutions about their experiences, Minister Harold Weatherly (Alabama State University), Retired Logistics Management Specialist Mr. Michael Taylor (Jack- son State University), Photojournalist Mr. Dion Hose (Alabama A&M University), Minister/Logistics Management Specialist, Broderick McDaniel (Columba College, MO), and Retired

Computer Science Specialist, Mrs. Doris Ford Taylor (Alabama A&M University). Reeves also thanked Mr. Dwayne Green, Director of Admissions at Alabama A&M for his assistance. It was important to let the students know that where ever they decided to further their education, they should envision them- selves there, make the plans early, and do it.
