FREE Tutoring Community Program Starts January 11 th , 2025. The free tutoring is open to all youth in our community in kindergarten through the 8 th grade. The program is held at South Mountain Community College at 7050 South 24th Street and registration is at 8:30 am.
Many youths in our community suffered a significant loss in learning during the covid school shut down and although youth have been back to in-person classes for 3 years, many youths are still trying to catch up in learning.
The Free tutoring classes are held on the second and fourth Saturday of each month between January and May with breakfast and lunch included. Experienced and certified teachers guide the youth in understanding complicated subjects in a fun atmosphere that encourages them to learn and grow.
This program is offered to help youth improve his/her understanding of the core requirements needed to participate fully in their classrooms during the week. Youth engage in fun activities that reinforce their knowledge in math, science, and language arts.
