A 62-year-old Creola man is in the Mobile Metro Jail, accused of firing multiple shots at his son before stabbing him, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were summoned to a residence on Lister Lane Wednesday to assist Creola police with a possible stabbing. When they arrived, they located the victim, Jessie Lee Walker, suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
Deputies learned the father and homeowner, Ralph David Walker, had threatened his son with “multiple firearms” and had fired at him several times before stabbing him. Jessie Walker was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.
The elder Walker remained in jail as of Thursday morning, held on $2,000 bond for charges of 3rd-degree domestic violence/menacing and 3rd-degree domestic violence/reckless endangerment.
The sheriff’s office says the case will be turned over to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office once the investigation is complete.
