HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Alabama A&M University junior utility player Tristan Curless was selected on Tuesday to the Black College Nines Second Team.
 
Curless, who is a native of Amarillo, Texas, led the Bulldogs in numerous categories, including batting average (.327), home runs (nine), RBI (47), hits (55) and doubles (14). He played in and started in all 47 games for the Maroon and White, scoring 36 times and had one triple. On the base paths, he went 8-of-9 in the stolen base department.
 
He was just as effective on the mound, appearing in 10 games. Curless posted a team-best 0.57 ERA in 15.2 innings, fanning 18 and registering a team-high three saves, along with a 2-0 record.
