Coppin State University (CSU) celebrated 125 years of service with 2025 homecoming events Feb. 16-23. Alumni from all over the country participated in the slew of events that highlighted CSU athletes, members of the Divine Nine community and current and former students. Even though both the men and women’s teams lost their games against Norfolk State 63-79  and 54-76 respectively, that did not put a damper on the weekend’s festivities. During the homecoming game JPMorgan Chase presented Coppin with grant money in a renewed commitment to supporting diversity, equity and inclusion.

In a moment of solidarity a Morganite, Roe Vision, painted portraits of the past Coppin State University presidents. For the 125th homecoming anniversary, the portraits were hung and unveiled in a ceremony on Feb. 25 at Coppin’s Parlett L. Moore library.

Roe Vision has been previously commissioned by Disney, Enoch Pratt library and Visit Baltimore. Her portraits have been hung in City Hall and galleries nationwide.
