
Tatyana Hopkins recently graduated from Howard University with a degree in journalism. Originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut, the journalism major developed a passion for telling news story, while still in middle school, after a documentary project at summer camp. With an interest in research and storytelling, journalism became an obvious career choice. Tatyana has written for “The District Chronicles” and the Howard University News Service covering the White House, the criminal justice system and the community. She traveled to Flint, Michigan to cover the on-going water crisis. The Connecticut native is fluent in Arabic and participated in a two-week Egyptian study-tour.
