MILES JOHNSON
Miles Johnson is a Morehouse College junior communications major and sports journalism minor. Miles has always had an affinity for journalism and storytelling, even from a young age, beginning with writing stories in his journal during elementary school and leading to publishing his first article during his junior year of high school. From his love of sports and playing soccer in Harlem, NYC, he gained interest in sports journalism during his sophomore year of high school, when he would listen to his favorite daily sports talk shows.
In July 2020 Miles launched “Real Talk with Miles Johnson,” which is a podcast that covers sports with an infusion of social justice issues as they pertain to the sports world. At Morehouse, he became involved with the school’s newspaper, the Maroon Tiger, writing several sports and political articles. Miles is also involved with Tiger TV sports, the newspaper’s televised side, where he anchors videos, writes scripts, and edits videos.
Miles’ goals are to have his own daily sports talk show and to be a role model for African American kids interested in journalism or production, whether in front of the camera or working behind the camera.
