Jordan Jennings is a Professional Master’s of Business Administration Scholar seeking a dynamic marketing position that will leverage her insights, creativity and service skills. Hailing from Atlanta,Georgia but also having grown up in 6 different states and overseas in Germany, Jordan’s best characteristic is resilience. Growing up as a military child has truly shaped her into the person she is today; A self-motivated, problem solving, and relationship-builder with a passion for understanding people and the culture that moves them. Her campus involvement includes: membership in The Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Student Government Association, where she was the Homecoming Event Vendor Management Chair; National Coucncil of Negro Women (NCNW) nonprofit organization, where she served as Treasurer and Miss Purple & Black on NCNW’s Royal Court; PepsiCo Brand Ambassador; and Regions Bank Brand Ambassador. She is also a proud volunteer member of Second Harvest of the Big Bend and Tallahassee Urban League. Jordan enjoys traveling, fellowshiping with friends & family, trying new restaurants, and being outdoors in her spare time. She also believes that the most fulfillment in life is found in the joy brought on by the little things.
Chevrolet Celebrates Year 8 of “Discover the Unexpected” Internship Program, Partnering with HBCU Talent
NNPA NEWSWIRE — The DTU internship began on June 12 and concluded with a ceremony in Detroit on August 9. Upon completing the program, Chevrolet and the NNPA awarded each fellow $18,000 in scholarships and stipends, bringing the total amount awarded to $930,000, supporting 69 students from 23 unique HBCUs. THE PHILADELPHIA TRIBUNE — City officials and non-profit leaders gathered at Temple University as Mayor Cherelle Parker’s office announced the expansion of the Philadelphia Taking Care of Business Program, also referred to as PHL TCB.

The Junior Barber Academy, located in Manayunk and led by the P. Michael Boone Foundation, is teaching young students between the ages of 12 and 18 the skills of barbering. The Academy and 21 other area nonprofits received grant funding in June from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office for their gun violence prevention efforts.
