AISHA “JUNE” JUNE
Aisha June is currently a Howard University sophomore marketing major. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, June has always had a passion for storytelling. Pursuing a degree in the school of business, she views this as an opportunity to apply marketing strategies and solutions systems to BIPOC-founded platforms and organizations. June is dedicated to becoming an instrument of opportunity for communities that face a lack of resources. Aisha June founded Protect Black Women and 360 as creative projects with the intention of placing Black and Brown lives at the center of their own narratives to uplift their voices through creative platforms and storytelling. “Exploring journalism as a catalyst to achieving my goals and honing my abilities to uplift others’ stories through Discovering the Unexpected 2021 is truly an amazing opportunity! I am so excited to begin this journey!”
