Brandi Montgomery is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in broadcast journalism at the School of Communications at Howard University. A native of Hopkins, S.C., Brandi has extensive community service experience and was selected as a White House Correspondents’ Association Scholar in 2015. Brandi’s internship experiences, which include Fox 5-WTTG, the U.S Army Office of Public Affairs and WHUT-TV32, have confirmed her passion for covering news, even under stressful conditions. She strongly believes that reading the headlines and researching the issues are no replacements for reporting on-location in the community.
