To commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and mark Black History Month, Hopewell M.B. Church in New Market, AL, recently hosted its annual MLK Essay Contest. Students wrote and presented essays about one of King’s famous speeches and its relevance to the issues Blacks face today.
