The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce held a Proclamation Signing on Monday, June 27, 2022, 8:00 a.m. at the Commerce building located at 225 Church Street in Huntsville. The Proclamation declared the week of June 27 thru July 2, 2022 as Armed Forces Celebration Week. Taking part in the signing was MG(RET) Jim Myles, Madison City Mayor Paul Finley, LTG Donnie Walker, Army Material Command Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, Madison County Commission Chairman Dale Strong, and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle. Music for the event was provided by the Maneuver Center of Excellence Band from Fort Benning, Georgia. Various activities are planned for the entire week to recognize the contributions made by the Armed Forces in the Huntsville/Madison County area.
