At least one person was injured Friday when a downed tree struck two houses in Huntsville.

Don Webster, HEMSI spokesman, said the incident happened on Dellbrook Drive.

The tree, felled by high winds, hit two houses.

One person required medical treatment, but the injuries were not considered life threatening.

A line of thunderstorms brought high winds and rain to parts of north and central Alabama Friday.

Damaging winds, a tornado, hail and heavy rain will all be possible across the state through the afternoon hours, according to the National Weather Service.

The storms caused damage in other areas of the state.
