The Alabama A&M football team made two key announcements Thursday afternoon regarding their 2024 schedule.

For the third consecutive season, the Bulldogs and Jackson State will compete in the Gulf Coast Challenge at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.

The Gulf Coast Challenge is billed as “The Ultimate HBCU Experience,” and an early list of events includes a kickoff event to feature an unnamed as-of-yet recording artist, a college and career fair, a team luncheon, and a parade leading up to the game, which kicks off at 4 p.m. CST.

JSU has won the previous two Gulf Coast Challenges – 45-30 last season and 27-13 in 2022. Alabama A&M’s last win over the Tigers was a 52-43 decision during their SWAC championship season in Spring 2021.

Alabama A&M also announced it will host Grambling State on Thursday, Nov. 14, on ESPNU.

AAMU’s most recent ESPNU appearance was a 31-24 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff last Sept. 21. The Tigers have lost the previous two contests to the Bulldogs, a 37-31 double-overtime loss at Louis Crews Stadium in 2022 and a 45-24 defeat at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium last season.
