P.A.W.S. (Participating in Academic Ways for Success) program helps AAMU students bridge first-year, second-year gap

Participating in Academic Ways for Success (P.A.W.S.) is a pilot summer program designed to provide Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) students an opportunity to take six hours of college credits while living on campus. This eight-week residential program bridges the first- year and second-year experience for new entering students.  Designed to improve retention, the program is offered from May 30 – July 20, 2023 and students receive personalized academic advising and coaching; a series of academic success, career development, financial, and personal enhancement workshops; and other educational activities. Additionally, participants who successfully complete the program will be eligible for a financial award to assist them with funding their education at AAMU.
