LARGO, MD – Anthony G. Brown, Congressman for Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District, announced the endorsement of Congressman Kweisi Mfume (MD-07) for his candidacy to become Maryland’s next Attorney General.

Reps. Brown and Mfume serve in Congress together as part of the Maryland Congressional Delegation. Congressman Mfume is a leader in the fight for civil rights in Maryland, bringing decades of experience both in Congress and as President of the NAACP.

“Anthony Brown is a champion for civil rights, justice and equality, and I am happy to endorse his candidacy to become Maryland’s next Attorney General. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside him to empower communities and protect those who are too often taken advantage of,” said Congressman Kweisi Mfume (MD-07). “Whether the issue is fraud, consumer protection or white collar crime, Anthony is a fighter, and he fights for the people and not the privileged few. He is committed to equality, justice and uplifting each of us in order to protect our legal right to be safe and secure. As always we face many challenges, and I know that Anthony is qualified and ready to take on the obligation of protecting and defending the rights of every Marylander, as our next Attorney General.”
