Annual Citywide Kick-Off of African American Heritage Month – Pastor “J” Edgar Boyd, Senior Minister, First AME Church, Los Angeles, is joined by LA Mayor Karen Bass at FAME’s February 12 worship service.  Among the highlights was the unveiling of the US Postal Service’s latest stamp in the Black Heritage series. Presenting a replica of the stamp of author and teacher Ernest Gaines, was LA Postmaster, Jeremie Six.  Federal, State, County and City elected and appointed officials also attended the service, which included music performed by FAME’s Freedom Mass Choir and gospel vocalist Elaine Gibbs.
