Alabama A&M University will celebrate the academic achievements of students during the annual Honors Day Convocation. The Division of Academic Affairs will host the Honors Convocation on Thursday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the AAMU Event Center. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. for the event which is open to all family and friends of scholars. Students should refer to emails from the Honors Center for all details regarding reporting, lineup, and recognitions.

A total of 2,448 students have qualified for Convocation honors as a result of outstanding academic performance.

CLASS SCHEDULES

There will be no in- person or virtual classes during the duration of the Honors Convocation program – 2:00 p.m. to ensure all members of the academy can participate in this significant acknowledgement of student achievement. At 2:00 p.m., regular class schedules will resume as normal.

FACULTY ATTENDANCE

All faculty, staff, and administrators are required to attend the Academic Honors Day Convocation. Faculty must participate in the ceremonial march dressed in full regalia and are asked to report to Room 108 to be robed no later than 10:25 a.m.

VOLUNTEERS

Campus community volunteers are still needed to serve as ushers for the event. Register to volunteer HERE.
