Alabama A&M University Hosts 52nd Annual Military Appreciation Day on November 2
Alabama A&M University invites the community to its 52nd Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Alabama A&M Army ROTC Program hosts the annual event to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifices of our nation’s brave service members, both past and present, while also celebrating A&M students who are preparing to serve in the United States Army.
Attendees will experience hands-on military displays, including a rotary-wing aircraft, Signal, Air and Missile Defense Systems, and a Javelin missile trainer. The exhibits, located outside of Louis Crews Stadium, will offer an exciting glimpse into cutting-edge defense technology.
At 2:00 p.m., the Bulldogs take on the Southern University Jaguars in a thrilling football matchup at Louis Crews Stadium. Contracted cadets, students who have signed contracts to complete Basic and Advanced Courses of Army ROTC at AAMU will be sworn in on the field. The event also features a special Senior Day celebration and Heroes Appreciation Day, adding even more significance to the game.
