A 70-year-old Birmingham woman who was missing for nearly 24 hours was found dead Monday morning in her wrecked SUV.
The discovery of Julia Ann Brown was made mid-morning on East Lake Boulevard behind the airport.
The Nissan Rogue was overturned and about 30 yards off the roadway in a wooded area.
Birmingham police early Monday issued a Critical Missing Alert for Brown.
She was last seen about 10 a.m. Sunday leaving her home and was supposed to be on her way to church in the Huffman area.
