Following national and local concerns about grade inflation during the pandemic, Huntsville City Schools begins the new school year with Superintendent Clarence Sutton saying the system is moving forward.

“We just trust our teachers,” Sutton told AL.com after the district’s board meeting on July 30. “I don’t know what happened in the past, but we trust our teachers. We have a process in place where our teachers put the grades in, and those grades stand. So, anything other than that, I’m not aware of, and we’re just moving forward.”
