Both Madison County Commission members on Tuesday’s ballot easily won nominations for new terms, according to unofficial results with all county votes recorded.

District 6 Madison County Commissioner Violet Edwards, a Democrat, turned back former Commissioner Jeshenry Malone in a successful bid for a second term. Complete but unofficial returns showed Edwards with 2,020 votes or 75 percent to Malone’s 675 votes or 25 percent in the race to represent District 6.
