Three women are charged with murder after Mobile police say they beat and shot a woman to death Sunday evening.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of Chin Street about 5:13 p.m.

When they arrived, they found 44-year-old Khaliaka Meardry dead at the scene.

Initial investigation indicates Meardry was in a verbal dispute with three women who at some point began beating Meardry with a blunt object. One of the suspects then shot Meardry an unspecified number of times.

The suspects have been identified as 37-year-old Sierra Giles, 32-year-old Kendra Nettles and 35-year-old Terrilyn Williams. All three have been charged with Meardry’s murder.

Mobile jail records show Meardry resided at 675 Chin Street, while Giles lived at 674 Chin Street.
