We’re a little more than one year away from the 2024 presidential election and the possibility of a second Joe Biden vs. Donald Trump showdown looms large.
Trump faces large challenges as well. He will likely be up against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, among others, for the GOP nomination and there’s also his looming legal issues. The former president was indicted in March for falsifying business records and a jury recently found him liable for defamation and sexual abuse in a civil court case in May.
Both candidates have announced their intentions to run for a second term in office – a consecutive second term for Biden, a Democrat, or a return for Trump, a Republican, after his 2020 loss. Biden’s recent approval ratings show he faces an uphill battle to capture his party’s nomination – a recent poll showed 58% of Democrats said they would rather their party pick someone else to be the presidential nominee.
How Trump’s ongoing troubles will influence his appeal – and his fundraising – remains to be seen though we can get an idea where he has the most support in Alabama with recent data from Stacker. Using data from the Federal Election Commission from Jan. 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023, Stacker compiled a list of ZIP codes that have donated the most money to Trump ahead of the 2024 election. Each ZIP code is ranked by its total donation amount per 1,000 people to the Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. campaign committee, filing as the Donald J. Trump For President 2024, Inc PAC.
