Sheffield Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that happened Tuesday night.
Colbert County Coroner Justin Gasque said the incident happened on Wilson Dam Avenue in Sheffield at about 10:07 p.m.
Tommy Ray Burcham, 43, was found dead in in a field near a residence.
Nearby, the body of Raleigh Lemaster, 34, was discovered, dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Gasque said it appeared the two had been involved in an argument just prior to the altercation.
