Two people were arrested on drug-related charges after a task force found methamphetamine and fentanyl while executing a search warrant Monday in Huntsville, authorities said.

The North Alabama Drug Task Force — a Huntsville Police Department-led federal task force involving multiple law enforcement agencies — and Huntsville police’s SWAT team executed the search warrant in the 2000 block of Reaches Place, the task force announced.

Two people — 55-year-old Shawn Douglas Blackman and 24-year-old Destiny Desaray Skipworth — were charged following the operation.

Blackman was charged with trafficking fentanyl and trafficking methamphetamine while Skipworth was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl and possession of synthetic drugs.

The quantity of drugs found during the bust was not immediately clear.
